The process was very easy. We sat down in the beginning and determined the direction we were going to go. The thing we really liked about Gratias was they were so flexible. They allowed us to make whatever changes within reason in the floor plan. They allowed us to make changes in the kitchen arrangement, change counters-just really flexible in the building process to the point that we felt we were actually part of the building process as opposed to just simply, "Here's the key," and just simply walking in the door. We put our soul and heart into the building. It turned out to be our own home once we got done with it as opposed to just walking in the door to some preconceived deal. Tom is the only builder in the townhome arena who would allow us to do that. To change deck size and to do some things that aren't typically done in townhomes. Very easy to work with. Great people. Very flexible. They kept us abreast of things as they went along the way. We would stop by the home each day and make our daily inspection and talk to the workmen and then we would give them our ideas and the next day we'd be back there and they would have them done already. It was just a very enjoyable process.
